Ed Sheeran, 31, has shared some behind the scenes footage from his recent 2step music video – which he filmed in Kyiv before Ukraine’s ongoing conflict with Russia began.
The remixed version of 2step, which features Lil Baby, and it’s accompanying music video came out on April 22, with a disclaimer that the video was shot before Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
And on Tuesday, Ed took to Instagram to share some further background on the video – describing it as ‘a shoot I’ll remember for the rest of my life’.

The full behind the scenes video, which was posted to Ed’s Youtube channel, began with a shot of busy Kyiv at night, with the bustling normality of the scenes a far cry from today’s war-rife situation.
Ed then explained how cold it was in the city, as he wrapped up for the video shoot and spoke to the camera.
He said: ‘We’re here on the 2step video shoot in Ukraine, it’s like minus five degrees outside so I have all my thermal gear on.’

On set: The video showed an array of footage of the video team filming, as rolling cameras circled Ed, while he analyzed the clips on the cameras during the process
He introduced the director of the video, Henry Scholfield, who said Ed was very specific that he wanted an Oliver! dance theme for the video.
The Bad Habits singer was surrounded by a large cast of backing dancers and Lil Baby, as he joked with the crew and tried to nail down the choreography.

Posting a section of the video to Instagram, Ed wrote: ‘Come behind the scenes with me on a video shoot I’ll remember for the rest of my life x’
In support of Ukraine, Ed pledged the YouTube royalties from 2Step’s official video to the DEC’s Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal.

Ed recently explained that he felt ‘grateful’ for being able to film the video before the ‘he devastating acts of violence’ began in Ukraine.
He said: ‘I filmed the video for 2step in the city of Kyiv, Ukraine before the devastating acts of violence started to take place.
‘It was my first time visiting the country and I felt so welcomed during my stay there – everyone from the production crew to the many people I met across my days off.
‘Ukraine is a proud and resilient country and I’m grateful to have had the chance to film my video there.’
The singer previously headlined a fundraising concert for Ukraine alongside Camila Cabello and Emeli Sande – raising more than £13.4 million for the war-torn nation.
