Rochdale News | News Headlines | Mental health support group to host Easter Monday walk around Greenbooth Reservoir

Date published: April 13, 2022

A local mental health support group for men is organizing a walk – open to anyone – around Greenbooth Reservoir on Easter Monday.

The Rochdale Andy’s Man Club is hosting the walk with the Bury group to help people who may be struggling.

Anyone wishing to take part should meet at the Bridge Chippy on Edenfield Road at 10am on Monday 18 April before setting off at around 10.10am.

The local Andy’s Man Club is run by Brad Gartland, who also set up the Stephen Gartland Foundation in 2017 after his father took his own life.

Andy’s Man Club is a men’s mental health charity that supports, empowers, and gives men the opportunity to talk about things that are affecting their mental health and wellbeing. The sessions are free to attend, and really work to challenge the stigma around men’s mental health.

There are two clubs in Rochdale: Mayfield Sports Center and the Our Spot Community Hub at the Crown Oil Arena.

Andy’s Man Club runs every Monday from 7-9pm every Monday (except Bank Holidays) and is open to any male aged 18+.

If you would like to attend Andy’s Man Club, please email or message the Facebook page.
