Taskmaster viewers excited about this part of show coming back

task master series 13 has kicked off with a returning part of the show for the first time since COVID-19 restrictions.

In tonight’s (April 14) season premiere, Greg Davies and Alex Horne introduced the five contenders – Death in Paradise‘s Ardal O’Hanlon, Bridget Christie, Chris Ramsey, Judi Love and Sophie Duker – as well as welcoming back a live audience.

Viewers at home were quick to notice the comics were sitting closer together compared to when social distancing rules were in place when the previous seasons aired between 2020 and 2021.

Many were also excited to hear audience members reacting to the ridiculous tasks the contestants had to try their hands at, including finding duck toys hidden in a pristine laboratory and painting a picture of the Taskmaster using lipstick… on their lips.

“It’s so NICE to have them all cosied up together and to have a live audience for them to play off. The lack of it really hurt the last couple of seasons,” one fan wrote on Twitter.

“Off to a great start. Already I can tell the chemistry between the contestants is better than S12,” someone else noted.

Despite Sophie Duker’s epic rap battle with Alex Horne, it was Chris Ramsey who took the biscuit with 23 points, mostly earned through his impressive painting of Greg Davies.

task master airs Thursday nights on Channel 4. Later this year, Channel 4 will air Taskmaster: Champion of Champions II.
